The City is currently developing a long-term plan to guide the future development of the BC Parkway corridor to provide usable public open space for the community, and is currently undertaking public engagement to seek community input on the draft long term plan. The upcoming event is on October 16th from 5:30 to 7:30 at the Bonsor Recreation Centre Banquet Hall.
The purpose of this targeted public engagement for youth (alongside another event for seniors) is to encourage youth participation in the civic process, and gain some knowledge about how their involvement can shape the outcome of a project.
The event format is in-person drop in. We will have 3 stations set up with different activities, and refreshments as well. Attached is an event plan with more details of the activities and the objective that we hope to achieve from each activity.
